4 Days Camping Safari Lake Nakuru National Park And Maasai Mara
Lake Nakuru lies in the Great Rift Valley and is one of the eight lakes, which stretch the length of Kenya. The park is known for its seasonal multitudes of pink flamingoes, which seasonally use its waters to feed on the abundant algae which thrive in warm waters, less is said, and is the high species of bird life resident here! Numerous large mammals can be found here i.e. leopards, lion, buffalo, rhinos and many herbivores including waterbucks.
Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara
After breakfast head west for Masai Mara Game Reserve and set-up Camp. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive in the game reserve which is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Although July, August and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The famous Masai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve. Dinner and overnight at a Manyatta camp.
Day 2: Masai Mara
Morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara. Dinner and overnight at a Manyatta camp.
Day 3: Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast proceed northwards to arrive in Lake Nakuru National park in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at guest house in town
Day 4: Lake Nakuru national park - Nairobi
Full-day game viewing at Lake Nakuru National Park. You have a chance to visit a unique sanctuary catering for a sizeable number of the endangered rhinoceros and the Rothschild giraffe. Waterbucks as well as the predators such as the lion and leopard are common at the park. Also to be seen is a myriad different variety of birdlife in and around the lake. Flamingoes are also plenty at the lake.
Leave for Nairobi late afternoon arriving in Nairobi in the afternoon.
