It is a unique set up for those who want to experience African diverse culture in a unique set-up of staying with the families in urban centres, rural villages, ranches or game sanctuaries in their homes . The host will ensure favourable catered accommodation & hospitality . It allows participation and interaction of cultural activities, learning different cultures and a typical day in an African life which includes fetching water,carrying firewood, livestock grazing and other activities in the urban areas like visiting The Kenya National Theatre.

Homestay Safaris enables you to visit tourist attractions while experiencing african culture first hand through utilisation of african homestays throughout the safari. This allows you to enjoy value for your money as homestays are cheaper that convectional hotels while contributing to the development of local economies.

Day 1: ARRIVAL

Upon arrival at JKIA airport you will be Met and transfferred to your homestay in Nairobi for overnight.


Day 2: Nairobi Excursions

After breakfast, you will be picked for day full of fun, city tour then proceed to Karen Blixen museum.In the afternoon visit the Kenya cultural center. Built in late 1940s and opened in March 1951, Kenya National Theather aka “The Shrine" as it is fondly known, is the largest proscenium theatre space in Kenya. KNT boasts multiple spaces for diverse creative processes and performance presentations covering Drama, Live Musical Concerts, Physical Theatre, Images Projection, Dance and Movement. Dinner and overnight at your homestay.


Day 3: Aberdares National Park

After breakfast drive to the lush foothills of the Aberdares Mountain Range to the Aberdares Country Club for lunch. Transfer to The Ark / mountain lodge after lunch (children under 7yrs not permitted, light bags only) overlooking a waterhole and salt lick where the 'Big Five' occasionally gather for an exhilarating night of wild encounters. The Tree hotels comprises three decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide superb vantage points for game viewing. Dinner and overnight at a Tree Tops Hotel, Full Board


Day 4: Lake Naivasha - Farm Visit - Crescent Island- Hell’s Gate Tour

Depart Aberdares for Lake Naivasha. Naivasha is the centre of Kenya’s booming agricultural industry. The fertile conditions, altitude and proximity to lake water have made this a major area for the growth and production of fresh cut flowers and vegetables. The flower industry has become one of Kenya’s most profitable, with daily flights taking roses, carnations and other cuttings directly to the European Market. Several farms are open to tourists visiting the farm, and touring the greenhouses and facilities. Dinner and overnight at a farm house.


Day 5: Lake Naivasha - Farm Visit - Crescent Island- Hell’s Gate Tour

A full day of adventure in Lake Naivasha. This customizable tour offers the rare chance to see wildlife outside of a safari vehicle while exploring a scenic part of the Great Rift Valley and a boat ride as you go near the Hippos, visit cresent island, or ride a bike and hike through Hell’s Gate National Park. Dinner and overnight at a farmhouse.


Day 6: Lake Nakuru

After an early breakfast descend down the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru, home to millions of flamingos and more recently leopards via Thompson Falls, black rhino and white rhino. After lunch proceed on a game-viewing drive returning for dinner and overnight at Your locally arranged Homestay


Day 7: Kericho Farm Tour

Depart Nakuru for Kericho town, nestled among the western highlands . The town overlooks lush green forested valleys, and is a relaxing place to spend some time. This high hill town receives almost daily rainfall, making this one of the most fertile areas in Kenya. As a result, the slopes around Kericho have long been Kenya’s richest tea growing area. Several large tea corporations established plantations here in the 1950’s. The early tea settlers claimed that Kericho rain showers were so regular that you could set your watch by the weather each afternoon. These ideal conditions continue to produce excellent quality tea.The plantations here create beautiful vistas of rolling green hills of tea, each one interlaced with lines of tea pickers winding through the bushes. At the centre, the small town of Kericho is a charming colonial town reminiscent of the British Hill Stations of India. Tours or visits to plantations can be organized locally. Dinner and overnight at a tea farm house.


Day 8: Maasai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast depart for the famed and Kenya’s finest game reserve - Maasai Mara Game Reserve to arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon of a game-viewing of wildlife, returning for dinner and overnight at Your Homestay .


Day 9: Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Early breakfast is followed by an exciting full morning's game-viewing drive including a visit to Mara River to view the hippos. Lunch is followed by an afternoon visit to a local curio workshop where you will enjoy buying curios as they roll from Maasai women’s hands. Optional hot air balloon ride available on request and at an extra cost. Dinner and overnight at Your Homestay .


Day 10: Depart- Maasai Mara Game Reserve- Nairobi

After breakfast, drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon, last minute shopping, transfer to the airport for your home bound departure flight.
