This transformative program combines field-based learning, cultural encounters, and breathtaking safaris across Kenya’s most iconic landscapes. Students will walk the red-earth plains of Tsavo, study flamingo-filled lakes at Nakuru, and explore the world-renowned Masai Mara, observing predator-prey dynamics and endangered ecosystems firsthand.
Beyond wildlife, the itinerary offers a cultural dimension: visits to schools, farms, and community projects, where students engage with Kenya’s people, traditions, and education systems. Day 1: Departure from Home Country
Your journey begins as you board your international flight to Kenya—the heart of East Africa.
Day 2: Arrival in Nairobi
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where our representative will welcome you with a short briefing before transferring you to your Nairobi city hotel. Evening at leisure.
Day 3: Nairobi National Park
Start with an orientation session followed by your first game drive in Nairobi National Park—an ecosystem where lions and giraffes roam against a backdrop of the city skyline.
Day 4: Nairobi – Tsavo East National Park
Drive to Tsavo East, Kenya’s largest park. After check-in and lunch at Voi Safari Lodge, enjoy an introductory wildlife lecture followed by your first game drive across the vast red-earth plains.
Day 5: Tsavo East – Wildlife Ecology Studies
Morning lecture on wildlife management and species behavior, followed by a game drive. Afternoon excursion to Mudanda Rock, a natural dam that attracts elephants and other game.
Day 6: Tsavo East – Field Learning at Aruba Dam
Participate in a field lecture at Aruba Dam, observing water-dependent species and their survival strategies. Afternoon at leisure with optional group discussions.
Day 7: Tsavo West – Mzima Springs
Transfer to Tsavo West and check in at Kilaguni Safari Lodge. Afternoon visit to Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear waters reveal hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat.
Day 8: Tsavo West – Rhino Sanctuary
Morning presentations followed by a visit to the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, dedicated to protecting endangered black rhinos.
Day 9: Tsavo West – Lake Nakuru National Park
Early departure to Lake Nakuru, stopping in Nairobi for lunch. Check-in at Lion Hill Lodge and enjoy an introductory lecture on the park’s role in rhino and bird conservation.
Day 10: Lake Nakuru National Park
Full-day exploration: morning and afternoon game drives to study rhino populations, flamingo colonies, Rothschild’s giraffes, and predator-prey dynamics.
Day 11: Lake Nakuru – Conservation Studies
Morning lecture followed by practical observation in the field. Afternoon game drive across the acacia woodlands and lake shores.
Day 12: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve
Travel to the Masai Mara, Kenya’s most iconic reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at Mara Simba Lodge before an afternoon game drive on the golden plains.
Day 13: Masai Mara – Wildlife Behavior Studies
Morning and afternoon game drives focused on the Big Five, predator-prey interactions, and savannah ecosystem dynamics.
Day 14: Masai Mara – Field Presentation
Morning presentations on conservation challenges followed by wildlife viewing. Afternoon game drive in search of cheetahs, lions, and elephants.
Day 15: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Return to Nairobi, arriving late afternoon. Evening summary and group discussions on wildlife-human conflict and conservation strategies.
Day 16: Cultural & Historical Tour
Morning debriefing session, followed by cultural excursions: Karen Blixen Museum, Maasai Market, or a city tour. Afternoon shopping and farewell dinner before airport transfer.
Day 17: Departure from Nairobi – Arrival Home
Bid farewell to Kenya with a lifetime of memories, research insights, and a deeper appreciation for Africa’s people, wildlife, and landscapes.
