Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Your adventure begins as you’re picked up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport in the early morning. Journey south across Kenya’s scenic plains on a comfortable 4×4 Land Cruiser, arriving in Amboseli after less than five hours.
A short game drive welcomes you into the park, where the dramatic silhouette of Mount Kilimanjaro rises over the horizon. Arrive at your lodge for check-in and a delicious lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive.
This is the perfect time to witness Amboseli’s famous elephant herds against the stunning backdrop of Kilimanjaro, along with sightings of lions, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and an abundance of birdlife. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Amboseli Serena Lodge or a similar safari lodge.
Day 2: Explore Amboseli – Wildlife & Culture
Rise early to catch the best views of Mount Kilimanjaro before the clouds sweep across its summit. After breakfast, embark on an exhilarating morning game drive through Amboseli’s diverse habitats. From wildebeest and zebras to baboons and giraffes, the park teems with life, offering endless photography opportunities.
Later in the morning, you may opt to visit a traditional Maasai village, where you’ll meet the proud Maasai warriors, renowned for their courage and unique cultural traditions. Witness their vibrant dances, songs, and rituals, and gain a deeper understanding of their daily lives and heritage.
After lunch and a short rest at the lodge, set off again for another thrilling afternoon game drive. As dusk falls, the savannah comes alive in golden light an unforgettable moment for safari lovers. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge or similar.
Day 3: Amboseli – Nairobi
Begin the day with one final early morning game drive to soak in Amboseli’s magic at sunrise. After breakfast, check out and enjoy a game drive en route out of the park.
Return to Nairobi in the late afternoon, with an optional stop for a memorable dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant, before drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
