Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your hotel. After a warm welcome by your driver-guide, set off on a scenic drive to Amboseli National Park, arriving just in time for lunch at your lodge.
In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in Amboseli, where over 1,600 free-ranging elephants roam against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. This is one of Africa’s most photographed settings—perfect for capturing magical sunsets and the snow-capped peak of the tallest mountain in Africa. Return to camp for dinner and overnight under the starlit skies of Amboseli.
Day 2: Explore Amboseli National Park
Wake up to the golden light of dawn and choose your adventure:
Option 1: Enjoy a relaxed morning game drive, return to camp for breakfast, then unwind by the pool or at leisure before heading out again for an afternoon safari.
Option 2: Set out with a packed lunch for a full-day safari across Amboseli’s vast plains, maximizing your chances of spotting lions, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, and abundant birdlife.
Whichever path you choose, Amboseli delivers unforgettable wildlife encounters. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 3: Amboseli – Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, with a stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for sweeping views of this geological wonder.
Arrive in Nakuru for lunch before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is home to dazzling flocks of flamingos, over 100 black and white rhinos, and the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. Don’t miss the striking Makalia Waterfall, a hidden gem within the park.
Return to your tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, continue your journey to the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries on Earth. Arrive for lunch and some relaxation before embarking on an afternoon game drive.The Masai Mara is the crown jewel of Kenyan safaris, boasting the highest density of wildlife in the country. From lions, leopards, and cheetahs to vast herds of wildebeest and zebras, the Mara is a wildlife photographer’s paradise.
If traveling between July and October, witness the world-renowned Great Wildebeest Migration, often called the “7th Wonder of the World. “Dinner and overnight at your lodge in the Mara.
Day 5: Full Day in the Maasai Mara
Today, you have three unforgettable ways to experience the Mara:
Full-Day Safari: Pack a picnic lunch and spend the entire day exploring the vast plains in search of the Big Five and countless other species.
Morning & Afternoon Drives: Take an early morning drive to catch predators in action, return to the lodge for breakfast and leisure, then head back out for an afternoon safari.
Hot Air Balloon Safari: For a truly magical experience, rise before dawn for a sunrise balloon flight over the Mara (optional, extra cost). After floating above the wildlife, enjoy a champagne bush breakfast before resuming game drives.
Optional: Visit a Masai village to immerse yourself in the culture and traditions of the Maasai people. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 6: Masai Mara – Nairobi (with Lake Naivasha Stopover)
Start with a final sunrise game drive before returning to the lodge for breakfast. By mid-morning, begin your journey back to Nairobi.
On the way, stop at Lake Naivasha for a relaxing hippo boat ride and an optional visit to Crescent Island or a nearby animal sanctuary.
Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon. Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy optional excursions such as visiting the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Center, Maasai Market, or a farewell dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant.
