Your Ugandan adventure begins in Entebbe, a tranquil lakeside town set on the shimmering shores of Lake Victoria. Tomorrow, your journey into Uganda’s wild heart begins.
Accommodation: Boma Hotel Entebbe
Days 2 – 4 | Kibale Forest – Home of the Chimpanzees
After breakfast, depart by private transfer to Kibale National Park, traveling through rolling tea plantations, rural villages, and vibrant roadside markets.
Once in Kibale, lace up your boots and venture into the rainforest on a chimpanzee-tracking trek led by experienced rangers. Listen for the rustle of leaves and the echoing calls that guide you to our closest cousins, the playful chimpanzees swinging through the canopy.
Spend your days exploring forest trails alive with life: bush pigs, red-tailed monkeys, and the brilliant great blue turaco. Visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary to spot more primates and colorful birds before retreating to your cozy lodge in the forested hills.
Accommodation: Isunga Lodge – Kibale
Days 4 – 6 | Queen Elizabeth National Park – Where Savannah Meets the Lakes
Journey south toward Queen Elizabeth National Park, a land of vast plains, crater lakes, and thriving wildlife. Continue into the Ishasha sector, famed for its legendary tree-climbing lions that lounge in fig-tree branches, gazing across the savannah.
Enjoy game drives in your 4×4 safari vehicle as you search for elephants, buffalo, antelope, and prides of lions basking in the afternoon sun. Cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where hippos bob in the water, crocodiles bask on the banks, and flocks of pelicans and kingfishers fill the sky. End your evenings with dinner beneath a blanket of stars and the sounds of Africa all around you.
Accommodation: Buffalo Safari Lodge – Queen Elizabeth
Days 6 – 9 | Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – Encounter the Mountain Gorillas
After a final game drive, journey southwest through mist-covered hills to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and sanctuary for the world’s last remaining mountain gorillas.
Here, you’ll embark on one of life’s most profound adventures, a gorilla-tracking experience that brings you face-to-face with a gentle giant family in their natural home. Watch as infants play, mothers groom, and the silverback keeps watch, a moment that stirs the soul and stays with you forever.
When not trekking, visit nearby villages, learn about local crafts and traditions, or take a guided walk through the dense forest to discover butterflies, waterfalls, and hidden trails.
Accommodation: Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge – Bwindi
